Does the twist really clear the hair?

Yes, that's the whole point. Twist the base of the handle and the bristles pull back into the pad, so the hair sits loose on top and lifts off in one go. Pick off any last stray strands, then twist back to use it again.

Is it a good brush otherwise?

Yes. The cushioned pad and flexible bristles are made for everyday brushing and detangling on dry or towel-dried hair. Start at the ends and work up.

Can I use it with a hair dryer?

It's not a blow-dry brush. Keep it away from strong dryer heat and hot tools.
